Listen to the Stories Your Body Holds

Join Biff Mithoefer, author of The Yin Yoga Kit, for a Yin Yoga training that explores the impact of storytelling on your life. Storytelling is the most ancient of the healing arts. Stories remind us that our lives ebb and flow, and understanding how your own life moves through the universe’s larger story can help you recognize which stories to release and which to nourish.

By settling into Yin postures and accessing your deep connective tissue, you will begin to connect with your stories on a profound level. Some are healing and can be embraced; others no longer serve you and can be transformed. When you understand the role storytelling plays in your life, you can learn to truly listen to your own stories and honor them for what they have to teach.

Training Information

Prerequisites. This is a stand-alone training, open to any dedicated Yoga students and teachers interested in deepening their practice or teaching. If you haven’t studied with Biff before and plan to attend the third module only, we ask that you read The Yin Yoga Kit and familiarize yourself with the basic concepts of Yin Yoga.

Continuing Education Opportunities

The training consists of approximately 45 contact hours. To receive a certificate of completion, each student completes an additional 5 hours of independent study within the 30 days following the training, then shares their experience with Biff by mail or email. Your reflection won’t be judged or graded, and each participant receives a certificate of completion for 50 hours of Yin Yoga teacher training.

• Yoga Alliance (YA): Approximately 45 contact hours. You can log your contact hours using your YA login.
• Integral Yoga Teachers Association (IYTA) can provide a CE certificate reflecting your program’s total contact hours for a $10 fee (free for IYTA members). For more information, email IYapplications@yogaville.org.
