Learn Ayurvedic healing tools for all addictive tendencies with the Yoga of Recovery Retreat. Ayurveda is the science of self-healing through understanding our personal tendencies. It helps us recognize our acting out behaviors and addictive tendencies and the needs and vulnerabilities that underlie them at the bio-psycho-social-spiritual levels. Discover ways to embody recovery and live an empowered life of emotional sobriety one day at a time during this retreat.

Quite simply, this weekend is for those who struggle and suffer: those who are beginning to suspect that the way they are living is not sustainable; those who feel the pain of the stress and striving of life and feel the loneliness; those who notice that there are various behaviors and substances, whether drinks, shopping, drugs, gambling, medications, or acting out in relationships, that they resort to and yet they still feel something is lacking; and now they are ready to say, “I’m done with it!”

Join us to learn about your triggers and how they are impacted by time and environment. From this, you can come to recognize the stability and potential that you are capable of by using simple, practical, stress-relieving, and self-soothing daily routines. We all need a strong foundation in health to face the challenges and stresses of daily life without resorting to or relapsing into bad habits and old addictive behaviors. For everyone who has been affected by addictiveness and stubborn bad habits that contribute to chronic diseases. And for those on any of the multiple recovery pathways—this information guides us between the mat and the meeting!

Prerequisites

Open to all. We suggest at least three months of continuous sobriety for alcohol/chemically dependent guests, as we are not a medical/detox facility. Please contact us if you feel able to attend in your early sobriety—we’d like to ensure that the retreat is the best option for you. Those with eating disorders or behavioral addictions should have enough stability to embark on this work.
