Kiesa Kay

Kiesa Kay, poet and playwright, initiated the 12-part video series, “Transforming Trauma for Creative Expression,” for Survivor Space, a division of Zero Abuse Project. As a book midwife, Kiesa has helped ten authors take their books from conception to completion. Her plays have been performed in seven states, and she specializes in supporting poets and spiritual seekers in finding their own voices, using a combination of meditation, movement, and creative contemplation.

One of Kiesa’s educational anthologies received the Legacy Award as the best book for parents and teachers in its publication year, and she is a recipient of an Ad Astra Award for poetry, among others. She founded the Pioneer Writing Circle and the Blue Ridge Storytellers Summit, and she’s a Storyteller for Collective Healing. She also recently was inducted into the USD #231 Alumni Hall of Fa
