Spring is the season for growth and new beginnings. Use your time at Yogaville’s silent retreat to get in touch with your inner compass and create positive intentions for the year to follow.

During this rejuvenating silent retreat, you will:

  • Reconnect with your inner guidance and wisdom
  • Unwind in the tranquil countryside
  • Gain insight from the guidance of senior teachers
  • Relax and strengthen the body and mind

The more we are present in the moment, the more we connect with our natural inner strength and balance, experiencing the sacredness and deep joy of daily life. A silent retreat offers the opportunity to achieve your own inner goals.

What to expect

Rather than retreating by ourselves to an isolated cabin somewhere, we join a group of people who are participating in the silent retreat. The experience is quite different than a personal retreat or taking a retreat in which people talk to one another.  In a silent retreat, there is a group synergy that forms. Everyone in the group is there to turn inward and be silent. By being there together with this motivation a beautiful energy is created. The air around the group seems to vibrate. There is a connectedness even without any outward communication. Being in the energy seems to aid everyone in focusing, going deeper and healing.

Weekend retreats are powerful. Great transformations have been seen in retreat participants from just three days of introspection and supportive Yoga practice.

LOTUS

Participants immerse themselves in silence, while teachers offer experiential workshops and classes in:

  • Yoga philosophy
  • Meditation
  • Pranayama (breathing practices)
  • Asanas (Yoga postures)
  • Deep relaxation

Private mentoring is available.  You will also have the opportunity to seek support or clarification by asking written questions.

Who can attend

These retreats are open to everyone—from beginners to advanced Yoga retreatants. Those who are new to meditation or to Yoga practices will receive full instruction, while those with experience will have the opportunity to explore more deeply.

Testimonials

This was my second silent Yoga retreat. Because I knew more of what to expect, I was able to settle in a lot more quickly and therefore I got a lot more out of it. I plan to make this a bi-annual event. — Kristina G.

All around it was a great experience—mentally, physically, and spiritually. This was a wonderful chance to get away from the cares of the world and soak in solitude in a relaxing countryside environment with peaceful, kind, and compassionate people. — Elle D.

Very wonderful, loving environment created by staff and community to support growth. I love being in this environment and around a community of other seekers.

I love the tranquility of the ashram and the obvious love.

We came two and a half years ago and thought we could get more out of it by coming again. We were right!

All instructors were wonderful, sincere, and knowledgeable. I am always struck by how real everyone is—no putting on spiritual airs, so to speak.
