Kids Yoga Program – May

Bring your kids with you while you enjoy Krishna Das!
This is a childcare program for guests who come to Yogaville with children ages 5–11.
While you are in your program, you can feel relaxed knowing that your children are being well looked after by our experienced staff. They will be entertained with arts and crafts, chanting, meditation, Yoga, swimming, hiking, and outdoor adventures that will keep them active and inspired.
In addition, they’ll learn about ashram life, Integral Yoga®, and Sri Swami Satchidananda.

Friday
4 pm Friday Afternoon Registration
6 pm Meet at Sivananda Hall with parents and kids. Introductions, go over itinerary and answer questions
6:30 Dinner (with parents until 7:30)
7:30 Opening circle with kirtan and Nitya Living Yoga Class
8:30 Free time: legos, games, mandala coloring books
9:15 Reunite with parents in front of Sivananda Hall (SH)
Saturday
Morning
8 am Breakfast (with parents until 9:30)
9:45 Opening circle with kirtan and Nitya Living Yoga Class
10:45 Who is Sri Swami Satchidananda? Read IY Coloring Book. Discuss: the Branches of Yoga – How do we learn to live yoga?
11:15 Craft: making malas to use in meditation
11:45 Free Time
12:45 Lunch (with parents until 2 pm)
Afternoon
2 pm Hike down Kailash stairs to LOTUS lake for a swim (Plan-B explore creek). Clean up – change back at Vidyalayam
3:45 Yoga Nidra, meditation, chanting and read: Enlightened Tales
4:15 Free time with a light snack: legos, games, mandala coloring books, playground
5:30 Dinner (with parents until 7:30)
Evening
7:30 Satsang – Children must be with their parents or with Nitya in the multi-purpose room in SH.
Sunday
Morning
8 am Breakfast (with parents until 9:45)
9:45 Opening Circle with kirtan and Nitya Living Yoga Class
10:45 Read: The Secret of Water. Understanding the power of vibration. Hike into the woods, each camper will spend time connecting to one tree in a nature meditation.
11:30 Craft: group Integral Yoga sand mandala. Clean up – Free Time
12:45 Lunch (with parents until 2 pm)
Afternoon
2 pm Van to LOTUS lake or the river for swimming – bring sand from the mandala, chanting Om Tryambakam as we release the sand with positive vibrations into the river or lake. Clean up – change back at Vidyalayam
3:45 Yoga Nidra, meditation, read: Grandfather Ghandi – are you lightning or are you a light?
4:15 Free time with a light snack: legos, games, mandala coloring books, playground
5:45 Craft: Lanterns of Light (decoupage coffee tins with stars cut in them)
6:30 Dinner (with parents until 7:30)
Evening
7:30 Nitya Living Yoga Class with guided relaxation and read: I Am Peace
8:30 Legos, games, mandala coloring books, playground
9:30 Reunite with parents in front of Sivananda Hall (SH)
Monday
Morning
8 am Breakfast (with parents until 9:45)
9:45 Opening Circle with kirtan and Nitya Living Yoga Class, Yoga Nidra and meditation
10:45 Read: The Three Questions. Craft: Friend Flags – each camper will write a message on a “flag” for the other campers (post-its and string)
11:15 Free Time
11:45 Pack up, Karma Yoga clean up, and have a sharing circle to wrap up our weekend
12:45 Lunch (program ends)
