A deeply transformative ancient yogic practice of 15 powerful techniques, including meditation, mantra, and mudra.

This weekend with Annie Winger offers the complete course in Atma Kriya Yoga, a system of fifteen meditation techniques that joins the discipline of Kriya Yoga with the devotion of bhakti. Over three days you will learn each technique step by step, practice together with time to rest and absorb, and receive mantra and Shaktipat initiation, leaving with a daily practice for life.

The tradition that holds full Kriya mastery, the complete realization of the science from within, is extraordinarily rare. Atma Kriya Yoga was given to the world by the living Enlightened Master Paramahamsa Vishwananda and the father of Kriya Yoga, Mahavatar Babaji. Mahavatar Babaji is a great eternal yogi who has mastered the art of immortality. Paramahamsa Sri Swami Vishwananda is His direct disciple. Together, they chose the best techniques, in the form of Atma Kriya Yoga, to support spiritual advancement in our current times. It is considered the most complete yogic practice in the world today, and the fullest Kriya Yoga system ever given to humanity.

Atma Kriya Yoga is more than a set of techniques. It is a living blessing that can change your life.

Modern life is filled with stress, and at some point each of us asks: How can I wake up and consciously bring new habits into my life? One answer is to turn to the ancient practice of meditation: Atma Kriya Yoga, which is more than 5,000 years old.

You receive a complete yogic system: all 15 techniques of Atma Kriya Yoga, initiation into two Vedic mantras, and Shaktipat, a direct transmission of grace from the lineage of Kriya Masters. It carries a sacred lineage that is very rarely found on earth today.

The Practice

Atma means “soul,” and kriya means “action performed consciously.” Kriya is action joined with awareness: you become aware of something higher, the Divine, which is bhakti itself, and then every action you do is infused with that divinity.

Paramahamsa Vishwananda, founder of Bhakti Marga, a global spiritual organization present in over 80 countries, introduced Atma Kriya Yoga to the world in 2007. It comes from the same Kriya lineage that reached the West through Lahiri Mahasaya, Sri Yukteswar, and Paramahansa Yogananda’s Autobiography of a Yogi. The course is given with Shaktipat, which transfers the grace of Kriya to the student so they are protected in their practice and can advance rapidly on their spiritual path. Yogaville, founded by Sri Swami Satchidananda in the spirit of “Truth is One, Paths are Many,” is a natural home for a practice that unites meditation and devotion.

Atma Kriya Yoga is a complete meditation system, and what sets it apart is its heart: the nine forms of bhakti (devotion) are woven into every technique.

What You’ll Experience

  • Japa Kriya — Vedic mantra chanting of the Divine names, with initiation into two powerful mantras.
  • Pranayama — powerful breathing techniques that act as direct tools to control the mind.
  • Asanas and Mudras — postures and hand positions that prepare the body and its subtle energy pathways for meditation.
  • Om Chanting — an ancient group practice of sacred sound offered for personal and planetary healing.
  • Protective Shield — raising the vibration of your energy centers to protect you from negativity.
  • Meditation Techniques — concentration practices that turn the attention inward, toward the soul.
  • Main Kriya — the heart of the practice; each breath is said to burn one year of karma.
  • Shaktipat Initiation — the “descent of grace” in Sanskrit, a direct transmission from the Masters that activates the kriyas.

You Will Leave With

  • All 15 Atma Kriya Yoga techniques for daily practice
  • Initiation into two powerful Vedic mantras
  • A daily mantra practice, the fastest way to transform your mind

The full course is around 10 hours, given over the weekend, and all sessions are needed to receive the complete practice and Shaktipat.
